| Sensei Scott has studied Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate for
29 years. He
began his study and training in Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan
Karate at the age of 12 in 1982 with Frank Hargrove. Sensei Scott trained with him
for 23 years until
the fall of 2005. He currently holds the rank of
Godan (5th Degree Black Belt, 2/27/2005) in Shorin-Ryu Karate-do and
the rank of Gondan (5th degree Black Belt, 11/21/2004) in Ryukyu Kobudo
(Okinawan Weapons). Sensei Scott is a member of the Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan under
its founder Shugoro Nakazato, 10th Dan, Hanshi.
Sensei Scott began teaching in 1994. He opened his first karate club in March of 1996.
Sensei Scott opened his dojo in the Glendale / Hidenwood / Riverside area in March of 1997.
Sensei Scott received the following titles: Renshi 2/27/2005; Shihan 2/24/2002; Shihan-Dai 2/28/1999;
Sensei 12/3/1995.
Sensei Scott has taught seminars and held camps in Virginia (22), Tennesee (2), Canada (4), and Bermuda (2).
